The Officer, Brands role supports Shangri-La’s brand standards, marketing initiatives and communications across the company’s hotels and businesses in Hong Kong. Typical requirements include a degree or diploma in marketing, communications, hospitality or a related field, along with relevant experience in brand management, public relations, content development or coordination. Strong writing, organisation and communication skills are expected, as well as proficiency in English and likely Chinese. The successful candidate should be commercially aware, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple projects and able to work with hotel teams, agencies and corporate stakeholders. Experience in hospitality, luxury brands or digital marketing would be advantageous.
Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and recognised for its Asian-inspired service, elegant hotels and strong emphasis on genuine care. The group operates hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets under brands including Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders. Its properties serve leisure travellers, business guests, families and events customers, combining local character with international standards. Hong Kong remains an important corporate and brand centre for the company. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with opportunities connected to hotel operations, marketing, commercial functions and corporate services. Shangri-La places importance on guest experience, teamwork, professional development and maintaining consistent brand values across its global portfolio.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, retail, finance, technology, marketing and international business. The city combines Chinese traditions with a highly global, fast-paced lifestyle. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, arts, nightlife and easy access to beaches, hiking trails and outlying islands. Housing is expensive, particularly in central districts, so many employees live in areas such as Kowloon, the New Territories or Hong Kong Island outside the core business zones. English is widely used in professional settings, while Cantonese is valuable for daily life and customer-facing work. Most overseas employees need an employment visa sponsored by their employer before starting work; eligibility generally depends on qualifications, a confirmed job and suitable salary. Employers may assist with visa documentation, medical checks and relocation, but candidates should confirm benefits, housing support and tax arrangements before accepting an offer.
