The Service Leader – F&B supports the smooth operation of Sinfully, Shangri-La’s food and beverage outlet, by supervising service staff, maintaining high guest-service standards, coordinating with the kitchen, handling guest requests and resolving concerns professionally. Candidates should have hospitality or restaurant experience, strong communication skills and a good understanding of food and beverage service. Previous supervisory experience in a luxury hotel or upscale restaurant is preferred. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, maintain grooming and service standards, support staff training, manage busy service periods and help deliver a warm, consistent Shangri-La guest experience. Flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays is normally required.
Shangri-La is a major luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other international markets. Its properties are known for refined accommodation, destination dining, wellness facilities and highly personalized service. Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in the Philippines include well-established city and resort properties, serving both international travelers and local guests. The company places strong emphasis on genuine hospitality, cultural awareness, professional development and teamwork. Employees may receive benefits such as meals, uniforms, training, service-charge participation and hotel-specific accommodation or transport support, depending on the property and employment terms. Roles in food and beverage typically involve a fast-paced, guest-focused environment with opportunities to progress into supervisory and management positions.
The Philippines is an archipelago with major employment centers in Luzon, including Manila and Clark, and resort opportunities in Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Bohol and Mindanao. Hospitality jobs are common in hotels, restaurants, resorts, cruise-related services and tourism businesses, although competition is strongest in popular destinations. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented and service-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Island living can offer warm weather, beaches and a relaxed lifestyle, but transport, healthcare, internet access and costs vary significantly by location. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly involving Department of Labor and Employment authorization and Bureau of Immigration processing; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, insurance, relocation costs and visa sponsorship directly with the employer before accepting an offer.
