Shangri-La Group is a Hong Kong-headquartered luxury hospitality company operating hotels, resorts and related properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands, serving leisure and business travellers through upscale accommodation, dining, meetings and wellness experiences. The group is known for Asian-inspired hospitality, high service standards and a broad international workforce. Corporate roles support the group’s hotels, offices and business functions across multiple jurisdictions, making them suitable for professionals who enjoy cross-border work and complex stakeholder environments. Shangri-La places importance on professionalism, integrity, service excellence and developing long-term careers within the hospitality industry.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in legal, finance, technology, hospitality, consulting and international business, with many regional headquarters based in the city. Its culture combines Chinese traditions with global influences, and Cantonese, English and Mandarin are widely used in professional settings. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, dense urban neighbourhoods, diverse restaurants, shopping, hiking trails and beaches. Overseas professionals normally need an employment visa sponsored by their employer; applications generally require a confirmed job, relevant qualifications and proof that the role cannot readily be filled locally. Dependants may usually accompany approved visa holders and can often work subject to local rules. Housing is expensive, so relocation packages and realistic budgeting are important. Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories offer different lifestyles, from central business districts to quieter suburban communities.
