Working in Australia

Australia is a large country rather than an island destination in the usual holiday sense, and Adelaide is its coastal South Australian capital. Hospitality and cleaning opportunities are available in hotels, serviced apartments, restaurants, resorts, aged care and tourism, with stronger seasonal demand in major cities and regional destinations. Australian workplaces are generally informal, safety-focused and multicultural; punctuality, respectful communication and reliability are valued. Adelaide offers a relaxed lifestyle, good food and wine, beaches, festivals and comparatively moderate living costs, though rent and transport expenses should be planned carefully. International applicants need work rights, such as an employer-sponsored visa, Working Holiday visa where eligible, or another suitable temporary or permanent visa. Check official Department of Home Affairs requirements before travelling. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, a tax file number, Australian bank account, phone service and health insurance, and budget for bond, rent and transport.
