Its business covers apparel, lingerie, activewear, wearable technology and related services. The group is known for product innovation, ethical manufacturing, employee development and sustainability initiatives. MAS places strong emphasis on responsible workplace practices, environmental management, worker wellbeing and continuous improvement. Sri Lanka offers employment opportunities in apparel manufacturing, engineering, information technology, tourism, finance, logistics and shared services, with Colombo and major industrial zones being the main business centres. The country has a warm tropical climate, a relatively affordable lifestyle and a culture shaped by Sinhala, Tamil, Muslim and other communities. Colombo provides modern offices, international schools, restaurants and private healthcare, while regional areas offer a quieter and lower-cost way of living. English is widely used in business, although learning basic Sinhala or Tamil is helpful. Foreign nationals generally need an employment visa or residence authorisation sponsored by a local employer, and should confirm current requirements with the Sri Lankan Department of Immigration and Emigration. Relocation costs, housing, medical insurance and transport should be discussed with the employer before accepting an offer.
