The F&B Sales Manager is responsible for driving food and beverage revenue through corporate accounts, events, conferences, weddings, group bookings and local partnerships. Candidates should have several years of hotel, restaurant or hospitality sales experience, strong knowledge of the Malaysian market, and a proven record of meeting revenue targets. Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills are essential, along with confidence in building client relationships and preparing proposals. The role expects an energetic, commercially minded professional who can work closely with kitchen, service, banquet and marketing teams, manage key accounts, develop new business and represent Shangri-La professionally. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and during major events is normally required.
Shangri-La is a leading luxury hospitality group founded in Asia and known for its hotels, resorts and distinctive service culture. The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other international destinations, offering accommodation, restaurants, bars, meeting facilities and wellness experiences. Shangri-La hotels are recognised for attentive service, elegant surroundings and strong food and beverage operations. In Malaysia, the company has established luxury properties serving business travellers, leisure guests, local residents and international visitors. Employees generally work in a structured international environment with opportunities for training, cross-department development and career progression. The group places emphasis on genuine hospitality, guest satisfaction, teamwork and maintaining high operational standards.
Malaysia is a multicultural country rather than a single island, with attractive island destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Tioman and parts of Sabah. Hospitality jobs are available in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, sales and guest services, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah and major coastal areas. Malay, Chinese and Indian influences shape the culture, food and festivals, while English is widely used in hotels and business. Lifestyle ranges from busy city living to relaxed beach or resort communities, with generally affordable transport and dining. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, and the company must handle the relevant immigration approvals before work begins. Applicants should confirm salary, accommodation, insurance, relocation support and pass eligibility directly with Shangri-La. Malaysia’s warm climate, diverse cuisine and welcoming communities make it appealing for hospitality professionals.
