The Wellness Attendant supports the cleanliness, presentation and smooth operation of Shangri-La's wellness and recreation facilities. Duties may include cleaning treatment rooms, changing rooms, fitness areas, relaxation spaces and guest facilities; replenishing supplies; handling laundry; and reporting maintenance or safety concerns. Candidates should be physically fit, detail-oriented, reliable and comfortable performing cleaning duties to a high standard. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, spa, health club or hospitality operations is beneficial. Good customer service, a positive attitude, personal hygiene and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays are expected. Basic English and Cantonese communication skills are likely useful in Hong Kong.
Shangri-La Group is a major luxury hospitality company founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. Its properties are known for attentive service, comfortable accommodation, restaurants, wellness facilities and strong local connections. Shangri-La Hotels typically provide structured operating standards, professional training and opportunities to develop within an international hotel group. Employee benefits vary by property and may include staff meals, uniforms, medical coverage, service charge, discounts on accommodation and career development support. The company places strong emphasis on genuine hospitality, guest satisfaction, teamwork and creating a welcoming environment. This role would suit someone interested in hotel wellness operations, cleaning services and progressing in the hospitality industry.
Hong Kong offers wide employment opportunities in hospitality, finance, retail, technology, healthcare and professional services. Hotel jobs are concentrated around Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the airport and resort areas, with demand for multilingual and customer-focused staff. The culture combines Cantonese traditions, international influences, efficient city life and excellent food. Housing is expensive and often compact, but public transport is fast and reliable, and healthcare and everyday services are easily accessible. Hong Kong has beaches, hiking trails, islands and vibrant neighborhoods alongside its dense urban center. Foreign employees generally need an approved employment visa before starting work; the employer normally sponsors the application and the role must meet immigration requirements. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, benefits, working hours and visa support directly with Shangri-La before relocating. Cantonese is valuable, while English is widely used in hotels.
