Its properties typically offer accommodation, restaurants, banquet facilities, wellness services and business or leisure amenities. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, professional development, teamwork and responsible business practices. Working in Thailand

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities across Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya and other resort destinations. Island jobs are common in luxury hotels, restaurants, spas, diving centres and tourism businesses, with peak hiring often before the high season from November to April. Thai culture values respect, politeness, modesty and good relationships; learning basic Thai is useful. Island living can be relaxed and scenic, but housing, transport and imported goods may cost more than on the mainland. Phuket and Koh Samui have airports and established expatriate communities, while smaller islands may have fewer services. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before starting work. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, insurance, visa support and contract terms directly with the employer. Thailand’s tropical climate requires preparation for heat, humidity and seasonal rain.
