Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact, modern island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare and retail. The culture is multicultural, with Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences reflected in food, festivals and daily life. Public transport is clean, efficient and widely connected, while shopping, restaurants, parks and beaches provide varied leisure options. The climate is hot and humid throughout the year, with frequent rain. Employment normally requires an employer-sponsored work pass. Hospitality professionals may be considered for an Employment Pass or S Pass, depending on salary, qualifications, experience and prevailing government criteria; work eligibility should be confirmed with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. Relocation costs and housing can be high, especially near central areas, so candidates should review the full benefits package, including accommodation support, transport, medical coverage and relocation assistance, before accepting an offer.
