The Wellness Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across the hotel’s wellness, spa, changing-room, and recreational areas. Duties may include cleaning facilities and equipment, replenishing towels and amenities, checking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and assisting guests courteously. Candidates should be physically fit, attentive to detail, reliable, and comfortable working shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, spa operations, or cleaning is helpful but may not be essential. Good communication skills in Cantonese and basic English are advantageous, along with a discreet, service-oriented attitude and a strong commitment to health, safety, and Shangri-La’s luxury service standards.
Shangri-La is a major luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts, and related properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other international markets. The company is known for personalised service, elegant accommodation, restaurants, wellness facilities, and a strong emphasis on genuine Asian hospitality. Its Hong Kong properties serve business and leisure travellers and typically offer extensive guest amenities, including fitness centres, spas, swimming pools, and recreation areas. Employees are generally expected to maintain high grooming, cleanliness, courtesy, and professionalism standards. Shangri-La provides opportunities across hotel operations, including rooms, food and beverage, wellness, engineering, finance, and guest services. Benefits and working conditions vary by property and position, but may include staff meals, uniforms, training, medical coverage, and employee discounts.
Hong Kong offers strong employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, retail, finance, logistics, healthcare, technology, and tourism. Its culture blends Chinese traditions with international influences, and Cantonese remains the main local language while English is widely used in business and hospitality. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, dense urban neighbourhoods, diverse food, shopping, hiking trails, beaches, and nearby islands. Accommodation is expensive, so employees should compare wages with rent and commuting costs; living farther from Central districts can reduce expenses. Foreign nationals normally need a work visa before starting employment, usually supported by the employer, and must meet immigration and qualification requirements. A valid passport, employment contract, proof of qualifications, and medical or background documents may be requested. New arrivals should arrange housing carefully, budget for deposits, and confirm whether staff accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, or relocation assistance are included.
