Candidates are expected to have relevant qualifications in fire safety, occupational health and safety, engineering or a related discipline, together with substantial experience in hotels, commercial buildings or another complex operation. Shangri-La Group is a Hong Kong-founded luxury hospitality company operating hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. The company is known for service-focused properties, strong attention to guest experience and a culture built around genuine hospitality. Shangri-La hotels commonly provide accommodation, restaurants and bars, meeting facilities, wellness services and extensive guest amenities. The group employs colleagues from many nationalities and offers career opportunities in hotel operations, culinary services, engineering, safety, finance, sales and corporate functions. Its Hong Kong properties are prominent city hotels serving leisure travellers, business guests, conferences and international events.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, retail, logistics and professional services, with luxury hotels regularly recruiting experienced managers. The city blends Cantonese traditions, international communities, excellent dining, festivals and a fast-paced urban lifestyle. Public transport is exceptionally efficient, and housing is convenient but expensive, especially near major business and hotel districts. Salaries are generally quoted monthly in Hong Kong dollars, and many senior hotel roles may include medical coverage, meals or other benefits. Foreign professionals normally need an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer, with approval based on qualifications, experience and a genuine job offer. Dependants can usually apply for dependent visas. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, a Hong Kong identity card, banking and health insurance, while learning basic Cantonese can help with daily life and workplace communication.
