Working in Philippines

The Philippines is an archipelago with opportunities in tourism, hotels, restaurants, business services, construction, healthcare and technology. Major employment centers include Metro Manila, Cebu, Clark, Davao and resort destinations such as Boracay, Palawan and Bohol. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented and community-minded, with English widely used in business and hospitality. Island living offers beaches, outdoor activities and a relaxed social lifestyle, although transport, healthcare, internet quality and living costs vary significantly between locations. Employees should expect tropical weather, a rainy season and occasional typhoons.
