Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers strong employment opportunities in logistics, sales support, finance, technology, healthcare, engineering and professional services. Its culture is diverse, generally informal at work and respectful of punctuality, privacy and clear communication. Lifestyle varies from busy cities such as London, Manchester and Birmingham to quieter coastal and rural areas. Housing and transport costs are highest in London and the South East. Overseas applicants normally need the right to work, such as a Skilled Worker visa, although this support role may not qualify for sponsorship and employers often prefer candidates already authorised to work in the UK. Relocating involves arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, banking, healthcare registration and tax documentation. Public transport is extensive in major cities, while a car may be useful in rural locations. The UK’s four nations offer distinct landscapes, traditions and local identities.
