MAS Holdings is one of South Asia’s leading apparel and technology-driven manufacturing groups, headquartered in Sri Lanka. The company designs and manufactures lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, wearable technology and other fashion-related products for well-known international brands. MAS operates a broad network of manufacturing, design and innovation facilities across Sri Lanka and several overseas markets. Its businesses focus strongly on product development, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, ethical employment and responsible supply-chain practices. Through initiatives such as MAS Innovation and its research and development capabilities, the group works on smart textiles, automation, digital manufacturing and performance apparel. The company is known for investing in employee development and for offering graduates and interns exposure to large-scale production, engineering, operations and global customer requirements.
Sri Lanka offers opportunities in apparel manufacturing, engineering, information technology, tourism, logistics, finance and business services, with Colombo and nearby industrial zones providing the widest employment choices. The island has a warm tropical climate, diverse landscapes, affordable local food and transport, and a culture shaped by Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim and other communities. Colombo provides modern offices, shopping and international connections, while Kandy, Galle and the hill country offer a slower lifestyle. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work visa or residence approval; an entry or tourist visa does not permit employment. Employers usually assist with sponsorship and documentation, so arrangements should be confirmed before travel. Rent and daily expenses vary considerably by location, and newcomers should plan for healthcare, transport, insurance and accommodation. English is widely used in workplaces, though learning basic Sinhala or Tamil can help with daily life.
