Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a modern Gulf country offering strong employment opportunities in hospitality, tourism, facilities management, construction, retail and aviation. Dubai and Abu Dhabi have a multicultural population, excellent infrastructure, warm weather and a lifestyle centered on beaches, shopping, dining and entertainment. UAE workplaces are generally international, while local culture values respect, modesty, punctuality and awareness of Islamic customs. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored work visa, residence permit, medical examination and Emirates ID; employers commonly arrange the main visa process. Resort jobs may include accommodation, transportation, meals, health insurance and annual airfare, but these benefits should be confirmed in writing. Employees should budget for summer heat, housing costs and initial settling expenses. A passport valid for at least six months and authenticated qualifications may be required.
