Working in Australia

Australia offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafés, events and tourism, especially in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Queensland’s coastal areas and regional destinations. Workplace culture is generally friendly, practical and team-oriented, with emphasis on punctuality, safety, guest service and clear communication. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal communities, with outdoor activities, beaches, sport and multicultural food scenes widely available. Living costs can be high, particularly for rent and transport in major cities, so budgeting is important. Visa options may include a student visa with work limits, Working Holiday or Work and Holiday visas for eligible nationalities, employer-sponsored visas, or other skilled and graduate pathways. Candidates should confirm eligibility, permitted work hours, health insurance, tax requirements and internship rules with the Australian Department of Home Affairs before relocating.
