Responsibilities may include coordinating associate-support activities, responding to employee concerns, maintaining accurate records, assisting with communications and engagement initiatives, and working with operational and human-resources teams to resolve issues efficiently. Candidates should have experience in hotel operations, customer service, employee relations, contact-center support or a similar environment. Strong communication, organization, confidentiality and problem-solving skills are important. The role requires a service-minded approach, attention to detail, professionalism and the ability to manage competing priorities in a multicultural, fast-paced workplace. Familiarity with Marriott systems, HR procedures and contact-center operations would be advantageous.
Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, operating and franchising a broad portfolio of hotels, resorts and serviced residences across numerous countries. Its brands include Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Westin, W Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, Le Méridien, Courtyard and many others. Marriott provides accommodation, dining, meetings, events, leisure and guest-services experiences for business and vacation travellers. The company is widely known for its hospitality-focused culture, global career opportunities and Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme. Its Customer Engagement Centers support guests, reservations and hotel operations through phone, digital and other service channels. In Singapore, Marriott benefits from the city’s position as a major tourism, business and aviation hub, offering employees exposure to international guests, regional operations and diverse hospitality practices.
Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare and customer service. Hotels and customer-contact operations regularly recruit supervisors, guest-service professionals, reservations staff and managers, although competition is significant. The culture is multicultural, orderly and highly service-oriented, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. The lifestyle is safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, varied food, shopping, parks and efficient public services. Living costs, particularly rent, are high; many newcomers share accommodation or live outside the central districts. Foreign employees normally need employer-sponsored permission, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass, and approval depends on salary, qualifications and prevailing regulations. Before relocating, arrange a written offer, confirm pass eligibility, budget for housing and insurance, and check tax and employment requirements. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
