The F&B Intern supports daily restaurant, bar, banquet, and room-service operations at Aloft by Marriott Dubai Airport. Typical requirements include current enrollment in, or recent completion of, a hospitality, tourism, or food-and-beverage program; good English communication; a professional appearance; teamwork; and a genuine interest in guest service. The candidate is expected to assist with table setup, order taking, serving, clearing, stock checks, hygiene standards, and basic administrative tasks while following Marriott procedures and UAE food-safety rules. Flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays is important. Previous hospitality experience is helpful but may not be essential.
Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, operating a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across more than 130 countries and territories. Its brands range from full-service luxury properties to select-service hotels, including Aloft, which is designed for modern, social, and design-conscious travelers. Aloft Dubai Airport is located near Dubai International Airport and serves business travelers, leisure guests, and passengers requiring convenient airport access. Marriott places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, operational standards, inclusion, professional development, and internal career mobility. An F&B internship within the company can provide practical exposure to restaurant service, banquet operations, hotel systems, food safety, and teamwork in a multicultural environment.
The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a highly international lifestyle across cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hospitality, aviation, tourism, retail, restaurants, events, and luxury services provide frequent opportunities for interns and entry-level workers. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a large expatriate community; respectful dress and behavior are expected, especially during Ramadan. Dubai offers modern housing, shopping, beaches, public transport, and an active social scene, although summer temperatures are extremely high and living costs can be substantial. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly arrange medical checks, insurance, and visa processing, while benefits such as meals, transport, or accommodation vary. Candidates should confirm stipend, working hours, housing, and visa support before accepting an offer.
