The Guest Experience Expert supports daily operations in the Executive Lounge, welcoming guests, handling enquiries, assisting with breakfast and refreshments, maintaining presentation standards, and coordinating with Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams. Candidates should have a service-minded attitude, good communication skills and a professional appearance. Previous hotel, restaurant or customer-service experience is helpful, while hospitality students may be considered through the i-Job Program. The role requires flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays, attention to detail, teamwork and confidence serving international guests. Familiarity with English is essential; additional languages and knowledge of Marriott service standards are advantageous.
Marriott International is one of the world's largest hospitality companies, operating a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across numerous countries and territories. Its brands range from luxury properties to select-service and extended-stay hotels. The Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is a prominent five-star property on Orchard Road, offering accommodation, restaurants, meeting facilities and executive guest services. The hotel serves business travellers, leisure visitors, groups and regional guests, with a strong focus on personal service and international operating standards. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment and receive exposure to established hotel procedures, guest-recovery practices and cross-department teamwork. Depending on the position and employment terms, Marriott roles may also provide staff meals, training, uniforms, service benefits or opportunities for internal mobility.
Singapore is a compact, highly connected city-island with opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, finance, technology and healthcare. Hospitality work is especially concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa, Changi and the central business district. The culture is multicultural, orderly and service-oriented, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Public transport is reliable, although accommodation and daily expenses can be high; shared housing is a common way to reduce costs. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary and sector rules. Employers normally submit the application, and approval is not automatic. Before relocating, confirm the contract, housing, medical coverage, working hours and pass eligibility. Singapore offers a safe lifestyle, excellent food and convenient regional travel.
