The Guest Experience Supervisor supports the front office team and ensures guests receive warm, efficient and personalized service throughout their stay. Requirements typically include previous experience in hotel reception, guest relations or a similar supervisory position, strong English and Spanish communication skills, and confidence using hotel property-management systems. Additional languages, especially Catalan and other European languages, are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, resolve complaints professionally, coordinate with housekeeping and other departments, monitor guest satisfaction, and maintain Marriott and Le Méridien service standards. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays is essential, along with a polished appearance, cultural awareness and a genuine hospitality mindset.
Le Méridien Barcelona is an upscale lifestyle hotel located on La Rambla in the heart of Barcelona. The property forms part of Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, a Marriott International brand known for design-led hotels, European heritage and a focus on art, culture, cuisine and thoughtful travel experiences. The hotel welcomes leisure and business travelers and offers guest rooms, dining facilities, meeting spaces and services designed around contemporary urban travel. As part of Marriott International, employees may benefit from structured training, international career opportunities, employee travel programs and established service standards. The working environment is multicultural and guest-focused, with close cooperation between front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and commercial teams. Exact benefits, contract terms and compensation depend on the position, experience and applicable Spanish employment agreements.
Spain’s main island work destinations are the Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca—and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Tourism creates opportunities in hotels, restaurants, guest services, entertainment, wellness, aviation and seasonal resort operations. The culture combines Spanish traditions with strong local identities, relaxed social life, outdoor activities and excellent food. Lifestyle can be sunny and sociable, although summer work is intense and accommodation may be expensive, particularly in Ibiza, Mallorca and popular Canary Island resorts. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without a visa but must register and obtain the required identification and social-security documentation. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit before starting employment. Candidates should confirm accommodation, salary, transport, contract duration and working hours in advance. Spanish is valuable, while English and German are especially useful in international resorts.
