The Guest Arrival Expert welcomes guests, assists with luggage, coordinates arrivals and departures, and provides friendly, efficient support at the hotel entrance. The role requires a valid UAE heavy vehicle driving licence, safe and confident driving ability, a professional appearance, good English communication skills, and a service-focused attitude. Previous experience in hotel guest services, concierge, valet, or transportation operations is preferred. The candidate is expected to handle vehicles responsibly, follow hotel safety procedures, maintain knowledge of local attractions, and remain calm and courteous during busy periods. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays is essential. Additional language skills and knowledge of Sharjah and surrounding destinations would be advantageous.
Four Points by Sheraton Sharjah is part of Marriott International, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies. The hotel offers comfortable accommodation and practical amenities for business and leisure travellers visiting Sharjah and the wider UAE. Four Points properties are known for approachable service, modern facilities, dining options, and a relaxed atmosphere that appeals to both corporate and independent guests. Marriott places strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, operational standards, teamwork, and employee development. Staff may benefit from structured training, internal career opportunities, and access to Marriott’s global associate benefits, depending on local employment terms. In this position, the successful candidate would support the hotel’s arrival experience while representing both Four Points by Sheraton and Marriott through professional, welcoming service.
The United Arab Emirates is a federation of modern cities, desert landscapes, beaches, and culturally diverse communities rather than a single island. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, logistics, healthcare, and technology provide regular job opportunities, especially in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. UAE culture combines Islamic traditions with an international lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected in public and at work. Life is convenient, safe, and generally fast-paced, although summers are extremely hot. Accommodation, transport, medical insurance, and annual flights may be included in hotel employment packages, so contracts should be checked carefully. Most expatriate employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers normally arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and labour documentation. New arrivals should budget for deposits, transport, and initial living expenses, and verify licence requirements before relocating.
