This Manager role supports EY’s UKI Business Consulting practice, focusing on supply chain and operations transformation. The successful candidate will be expected to lead consulting engagements, assess clients’ operating models and supply chains, identify improvement opportunities, and design practical strategies across procurement, planning, logistics, manufacturing, and operations. Requirements typically include significant consulting or industry experience in supply chain and operations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage client relationships and project teams. Candidates should communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, produce high-quality proposals and deliverables, manage budgets and timelines, and contribute to business development. Experience with supply chain technology, ERP platforms, process improvement, sustainability, or data-driven transformation would be advantageous.
EY, formerly Ernst & Young, is one of the world’s largest professional services organisations and a member of the Big Four. It provides assurance, tax, transaction, consulting, and strategy services to businesses, governments, and other institutions. EY operates across more than 150 countries and supports clients with growth, risk management, digital transformation, sustainability, technology implementation, and operational improvement. In Ireland, EY has offices including Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Belfast, serving clients across financial services, technology, consumer products, healthcare, government, and industrial sectors. Its Business Consulting practice helps organisations improve performance, redesign operating models, modernise supply chains, and deliver large-scale transformation. The company promotes multidisciplinary teamwork, international collaboration, professional development, and use of technology and data to solve complex business challenges.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in consulting, technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, medical devices, supply chain, and multinational operations, particularly in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, informal, and relationship-focused, although consulting roles can involve demanding schedules and travel. Lifestyle benefits include scenic coastlines, lively towns, historic sites, music, sports, and a strong social culture. Dublin has the broadest job market but also high housing costs; other cities may provide a more affordable and relaxed experience. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can work without a visa. Non-EEA professionals generally need an employment permit, commonly a Critical Skills Employment Permit where the role and salary qualify. Successful applicants must arrange accommodation, tax registration, banking, healthcare access, and possibly immigration registration after arrival. Employers often assist with relocation and permit applications.
