Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, islands and waterfront resorts. Hospitality, tourism, restaurants, aviation, retail, wellness and events provide regular job opportunities, especially in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Lifestyle options include desert trips, shopping, water sports, museums and year-round dining, although summers are extremely hot. Most expatriate employees receive an employer-sponsored residence visa, work permit, medical checks and Emirates ID support. Never work on a tourist visa. Employers may also provide accommodation, transport, insurance or meals, so these should be confirmed in the offer. Relocation costs, housing and contract terms vary considerably, and laws regarding alcohol, public behavior and online conduct should be understood before arrival.
