The F&B Supervisor supports daily restaurant, bar, banquet and room-service operations at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral. Requirements typically include hospitality or food-and-beverage experience, strong customer-service skills, basic financial and point-of-sale knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively in English; additional languages are useful. The candidate is expected to supervise associates, coordinate shifts, maintain service and hygiene standards, handle guest concerns professionally, monitor stock and equipment, support training, and help achieve revenue and guest-satisfaction targets. Flexibility for weekends, public holidays and rotating shifts is essential. Previous supervisory experience in a hotel or busy restaurant environment is strongly preferred.
Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is a contemporary lifestyle hotel operated under the Aloft Hotels brand, part of Marriott International. Located near Kuala Lumpur Sentral transport hub, the hotel serves business travellers, leisure guests, groups and event visitors. Aloft properties are known for modern design, informal service, social public spaces, music-led experiences and technology-friendly guest facilities. The hotel typically includes accommodation, restaurants and bars, meeting and event areas, fitness facilities and guest-service operations. As part of Marriott International, employees may benefit from structured training, international hospitality standards, career mobility and associate travel programmes, subject to local employment policies. The Kuala Lumpur location offers exposure to a diverse, fast-paced hospitality market and guests from across Malaysia and overseas.
Malaysia is not one island but a multicultural country with opportunities across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah and Sarawak. Hospitality jobs are common in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events and tourism, with Kuala Lumpur offering the broadest year-round market. The culture combines Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences, and English is widely used in hotels. Lifestyle ranges from energetic city living to relaxed beach and island communities; food, public transport and general living costs can be reasonable, although central Kuala Lumpur accommodation is more expensive. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit, such as an Employment Pass or relevant sector approval, before starting work. Employers generally manage the application, while candidates must meet passport, qualification and medical requirements. Relocation planning should include accommodation, transport, insurance, banking and local registration. Malaysia’s tropical climate is warm and humid, with monsoon conditions varying by region.
