The Business Coordinator will provide effective administrative, organisational and business support across BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire services. Requirements are likely to include experience in business or administrative coordination, strong communication and organisational skills, accurate record keeping, confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to manage competing priorities. The successful candidate should work independently, handle confidential information appropriately, prepare reports and meeting papers, coordinate actions and deadlines, and build positive relationships with clinical, operational and external stakeholders. Experience within the NHS, healthcare or a similarly complex organisation would be advantageous. The role requires professionalism, flexibility, attention to detail and a commitment to the Trust’s values and service users.
Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust provides specialist mental health and learning disability services across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. The Trust supports adults, older people, children, young people and families through hospitals, community teams, crisis services, psychological therapies, primary-care partnerships and specialist facilities. Its workforce includes clinical professionals, support staff, administrators and corporate teams working together to improve mental health outcomes and promote recovery. As an NHS organisation, the Trust is publicly funded and operates within national healthcare standards, safeguarding requirements and equality commitments. Employees can generally expect structured pay and benefits, NHS pension access, annual leave entitlement, staff wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for professional development. The organisation places importance on compassionate care, collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement across its services.
The United Kingdom offers opportunities in healthcare, administration, technology, finance, education, engineering and skilled trades, with particularly strong demand within the NHS. It has a diverse culture, historic cities, extensive public services and a wide range of music, sport and arts. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh to quieter coastal and rural communities; BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire offer attractive countryside, heritage towns and reasonable access to Bristol and Bath. Living costs are highest in London and the South East, while transport, housing and weather should be considered when relocating. UK and Irish citizens generally have unrestricted work rights. Other nationals usually need a visa, such as Skilled Worker sponsorship, where the role and employer qualify, or a Health and Care Worker visa for eligible healthcare occupations. Check current requirements on GOV.UK before applying.
