About the employer

North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust provides acute hospital and community healthcare services across Cambridgeshire and neighbouring areas. Its main services are delivered through Peterborough City Hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon and community facilities, with care spanning emergency treatment, medicine, surgery, maternity, outpatient services and specialist clinical support. As an NHS foundation trust, it combines direct patient care with education, professional development, research and service improvement. Pharmacy teams work closely with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to promote safe prescribing, medicines optimisation and high-quality patient outcomes. The Trust employs a large, multidisciplinary workforce and offers structured NHS terms and conditions, pension benefits and opportunities for career progression. Staff may work across different locations, so flexibility, collaboration and a strong commitment to public healthcare are important.

Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers extensive opportunities in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, technology, finance, education and skilled trades, with especially strong demand for registered nurses, doctors, pharmacists and allied health professionals. Its culture is diverse and generally values privacy, punctuality, fairness and a healthy work-life balance, while cities provide active arts, sports and social scenes. Lifestyle costs vary considerably: London and the South East are expensive, whereas many northern and eastern regions offer more affordable housing. Pharmacists must register with the General Pharmaceutical Council and meet the employer’s eligibility requirements. Overseas professionals may need a Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa, with an eligible job offer and sponsorship; dependants may also qualify. Before relocating, check visa rules, registration, accommodation, transport, taxation and NHS access. The UK has excellent public transport, but rural commuting may require a car.
