Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities in healthcare, life sciences, diagnostics, engineering, technology, education and professional services. NHS roles are available across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with major employment centres in London, Cambridge, Manchester, Birmingham and other regional cities. British culture is diverse, generally polite and multicultural, with a strong emphasis on punctuality, personal privacy and work-life balance. Lifestyle options range from busy cities to rural communities, although housing and transport costs vary considerably. Most overseas healthcare professionals need the appropriate professional registration, an eligible job offer and a Health and Care Worker visa or Skilled Worker visa. Applicants should check English-language requirements, qualification recognition and immigration rules before relocating. The UK has excellent public transport and the NHS, but private accommodation, childcare and energy costs can be high. Employers may provide relocation guidance, sponsorship information and onboarding support.
