The Multi-Property Director of Finance oversees financial operations for Element Bali Ubud and Four Points Pontianak, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, audit coordination, and compliance with Marriott and Indonesian regulations. Candidates are expected to have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, substantial hotel finance experience, and preferably experience managing more than one property. Strong knowledge of accounting systems, hotel performance metrics, taxation, and financial analysis is required. The role also calls for leadership, integrity, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to advise general managers and department heads while working across two locations.

About the employer

Marriott International is one of the world's largest hospitality companies, operating a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across more than 140 countries and territories. Its brands range from full-service luxury properties to select-service and lifestyle hotels. Element by Westin is designed around wellness, sustainability, and longer stays, offering practical rooms, healthy living features, and a relaxed environment. Four Points by Sheraton provides approachable, dependable accommodation for business and leisure travelers, with a focus on comfort, local experiences, and value. In this position, the successful candidate supports two different Marriott properties: Element Bali Ubud in Bali, a resort-oriented destination surrounded by nature and culture, and Four Points Pontianak in West Kalimantan, a city hotel serving business and regional travelers. Marriott typically offers structured systems, international standards, training, and opportunities for career progression.

Working in Indonesia

Indonesia offers strong hospitality, finance, tourism, technology, and education opportunities, with Bali, Java, and major regional cities attracting many international workers. Bali is known for Hindu ceremonies, temples, arts, beaches, wellness, and a relaxed lifestyle, while Ubud is greener, quieter, and focused on culture and retreats. Pontianak, on Borneo, is more urban and locally oriented, with a lower cost of living than Bali. Daily life can be affordable, although popular Bali areas are comparatively expensive. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate work KITAS, with immigration and employment approvals arranged before starting work; a tourist visa does not permit employment. Relocating candidates should confirm tax, insurance, housing, transportation, and dependent-visa arrangements. Respectful dress at religious sites, punctuality, and sensitivity to local customs are important. Learning basic Indonesian is highly useful, and travel between islands generally requires domestic flights.
