Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular Gulf destination offering strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation and events. Dubai provides a fast-paced, international lifestyle with modern transport, shopping, beaches, nightlife and year-round entertainment. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large expatriate community; visitors should respect local customs, modest public behavior and religious practices. Most overseas hospitality employees receive an employment visa sponsored by their employer, usually after medical checks and document verification. Employers may also provide accommodation, transport, meals, insurance or annual flights, depending on the contract. Living costs can be high, especially for private housing, so applicants should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, working hours, leave and benefits before relocating. English is widely used in hotels, while Arabic is the official language.
