About the employer

The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Lombok is a Marriott International luxury resort on Lombok, Indonesia. The property is designed around a refined island experience, combining high-end accommodation, wellness, dining and personalized service with the natural beauty and cultural character of Lombok. As part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, it caters to international leisure travelers seeking distinctive destinations and carefully tailored hospitality rather than a standardized resort stay. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment and are expected to deliver warm, discreet and highly attentive service. Resort operations may include guest rooms and villas, restaurants, spa facilities, recreation, events and concierge-style experiences. The hotel offers opportunities to develop skills in luxury hospitality, guest relations and international service standards, although exact benefits, accommodation arrangements and employment terms depend on the position and the final offer.

Working in Indonesia

Lombok offers hospitality opportunities in luxury resorts, boutique hotels, restaurants, wellness, diving, transport and tourism activities, especially around Kuta Mandalika, Senggigi, Gili-area gateways and the north coast. Life is generally quieter and less commercial than Bali, with lower everyday costs, beautiful beaches, waterfalls and Mount Rinjani. Sasak culture is central to the island, and visitors should respect local Islamic customs, dress modestly away from resort areas and learn a few Indonesian phrases. Popular leisure activities include surfing, snorkeling, diving, hiking and exploring traditional villages. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate Indonesian immigration status; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers may assist with permits, accommodation, meals, transport or relocation, but these benefits should be confirmed in writing. Reliable planning should include housing, health insurance, banking, tax obligations and travel time to larger medical or commercial centers.
