This role involves designing, configuring, developing and supporting ServiceNow solutions for EY clients across the UK and Ireland. Candidates are expected to have hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, administration, integrations, workflows, scripting and platform best practices. Familiarity with modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD or CSM is valuable. The position also requires strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, as the consultant will work with clients, technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions. Relevant ServiceNow certifications, experience in technology consulting and an ability to manage several priorities are advantageous. A professional, collaborative approach and willingness to travel or work flexibly may also be expected.
EY, formerly known as Ernst & Young, is a global professional services organisation providing assurance, tax, strategy, consulting and transaction services. Its technology consulting practice helps organisations modernise their operating models, improve customer and employee experiences, manage risk and implement enterprise platforms. EY works with clients across sectors including financial services, government, healthcare, consumer products and technology. In Ireland, the firm has a significant presence in Dublin and other locations, supporting both local and international clients. The company offers career opportunities across consulting, digital transformation, data, cybersecurity, cloud, finance and business operations. Employees typically work in multidisciplinary teams and may support large-scale transformation programmes. EY places emphasis on professional development, industry knowledge, collaboration, inclusion and building long-term client relationships.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology consulting, software, financial services, pharmaceuticals, cybersecurity, cloud computing and enterprise platforms, with Dublin serving as the main employment hub. Cork, Galway and Limerick also have growing technology and multinational sectors. Irish culture is generally friendly, conversational and community-oriented, with a strong social scene centred on music, sport and hospitality. The lifestyle combines urban amenities with easy access to coastlines, countryside and historic towns, although Dublin housing and rent can be expensive. EU, EEA and Swiss nationals can generally live and work without a visa. Non-EEA workers usually need an employment permit, commonly a Critical Skills Employment Permit for eligible technology roles, followed by immigration registration. Relocating candidates should budget carefully for accommodation, healthcare, transport and initial living costs.
