Written by MyIslandJob from the job title and employer. See the employer's page for the full description.

The Administration Team Coordinator will support the Endoscopy service by coordinating administrative processes, maintaining accurate patient and departmental records, arranging appointments, responding to enquiries, preparing reports and helping the team meet NHS access and performance targets. Applicants are likely to need administrative experience, good IT and data-entry skills, strong organisation, accuracy and effective communication. Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment, including familiarity with NHS systems and confidentiality requirements, would be valuable. The successful candidate will be dependable, calm under pressure and able to prioritise competing demands while working cooperatively with clinicians, patients and colleagues. This is a fixed-term maternity-leave cover position, so flexibility and the ability to maintain service continuity are important.

About the employer

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital and specialist healthcare services to people across Bradford, Airedale and surrounding communities in West Yorkshire. Its main facilities include Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital, alongside community and specialist services. As a teaching trust, it works closely with universities and training organisations to support education, clinical development and research. The Trust employs a large multidisciplinary workforce covering medicine, nursing, allied health professions, administration, estates, technology and corporate services. Its services include emergency care, surgery, diagnostics, maternity, cancer care and endoscopy. Staff are expected to uphold NHS values, protect patient confidentiality and contribute to safe, inclusive and high-quality care. Employment benefits commonly include NHS pension membership, annual leave, occupational health support and access to learning and development opportunities.

Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers extensive opportunities in healthcare, administration, technology, education, engineering, finance and hospitality, although competition and regional differences can be significant. Its culture is diverse and generally informal, with strong traditions in public service, sport, music and the arts. Lifestyle varies from busy cities to quieter rural and coastal communities; public transport is strongest in major urban areas. Living costs, especially housing, are highest in London and parts of southern England, while Yorkshire and northern regions are often more affordable. Overseas workers normally need the appropriate visa and permission to work before starting employment. Many NHS professional roles can qualify for the Health and Care Worker visa, but administrative roles may not meet sponsorship requirements, so this must be checked with the employer. Applicants should budget for accommodation, transport, healthcare-related charges where applicable and initial relocation expenses.
