The Specialist Physiotherapist will provide expert pelvic health assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with conditions including pelvic pain, continence problems, pelvic organ prolapse and antenatal or postnatal needs. Requirements typically include a recognised physiotherapy degree, UK professional registration with the HCPC, relevant clinical experience and evidence of continuing professional development. Experience in pelvic health is highly desirable, along with strong communication, assessment, documentation and multidisciplinary working skills. The successful candidate is expected to manage a caseload autonomously, deliver safe, evidence-based care, support service development, educate patients and colleagues, and contribute positively to the wider physiotherapy team. NHS experience and an understanding of clinical governance are advantageous.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides hospital and community-based healthcare services across Lincolnshire, including care through Lincoln County Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital in Boston and Grantham and District Hospital. The Trust delivers a broad range of services, from emergency and acute medicine to surgery, maternity, outpatient care, rehabilitation and specialist clinical services. Its workforce includes doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, scientists, administrative colleagues and support teams. The Trust serves a large and diverse population across urban and rural communities and works with local health and social-care partners to improve patient outcomes. As an NHS employer, it offers structured pay and benefits, occupational pension membership, annual leave, professional development opportunities and access to established clinical governance and staff-support programmes.
The United Kingdom offers strong opportunities for physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, digital specialists, engineers and other skilled workers. Its culture is diverse and generally values punctuality, professionalism, personal privacy and clear communication. Lifestyle varies from busy cities to quieter rural areas such as Lincolnshire, with good access to public services, countryside, sport and cultural activities. International physiotherapists usually need HCPC registration, verified qualifications and suitable English-language evidence before practising. Depending on nationality and circumstances, a Skilled Worker visa may be required, normally supported by an eligible employer such as an NHS Trust. Applicants should check salary thresholds, sponsorship availability, immigration health requirements and dependants’ rules. Relocation costs, housing, transport and NHS-related registration fees should be budgeted for. The UK has four nations—England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland—with some differences in services and employment arrangements.
