The Administration Team Coordinator will support the Endoscopy service by coordinating daily administrative activities, maintaining accurate patient and service records, arranging appointments, managing correspondence, and assisting clinicians and operational colleagues. Applicants are expected to have strong administrative and organisational skills, good IT capability, accurate data-entry experience, and excellent communication and customer-service abilities. Experience in an NHS, hospital, or busy healthcare environment would be advantageous. The successful candidate should be reliable, discreet, able to prioritise competing demands, and confident working independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team. As this is a fixed-term maternity-leave position, flexibility and the ability to quickly understand local procedures will be important.

About the employer

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides acute and specialist healthcare services to people across Bradford, Airedale, and surrounding communities in West Yorkshire. Its main facilities include Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital, alongside community and specialist services. As a teaching trust, it works closely with universities and professional training organisations to support education, clinical development, and research. The Trust employs a large, diverse workforce covering clinical, administrative, technical, and support roles. Its services include emergency and planned care, maternity, diagnostics, surgery, cancer services, and endoscopy. Employees typically work within structured NHS policies, benefiting from national pay arrangements, pension provisions, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development. The organisation places emphasis on patient safety, inclusion, teamwork, and delivering high-quality care to a diverse local population.

Working in United Kingdom

The United Kingdom offers employment opportunities across healthcare, technology, engineering, finance, education, and public services. NHS roles are widely available, although many patient-facing positions require recognised qualifications, registration, and appropriate work permission. UK culture is diverse and generally values punctuality, privacy, politeness, and clear communication. Lifestyle varies from lively cities to quieter rural areas, with extensive public transport, historic attractions, green spaces, and strong cultural institutions. Housing and living costs are highest in London and some major cities; Bradford and West Yorkshire are comparatively more affordable. Most overseas applicants need a visa, commonly the Skilled Worker visa, and must meet sponsorship, salary, English-language, and eligibility requirements. Administrative NHS roles may not always qualify for sponsorship, so applicants should check the specific vacancy. Relocating involves arranging accommodation, a National Insurance number, banking, healthcare access, and appropriate immigration documentation.
