Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city-state with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, hospitality and professional services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western influences, reflected in its food, festivals and languages. The lifestyle is safe, efficient and urban, with excellent public transport, shopping, parks and healthcare, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Employment generally requires a work pass sponsored by an employer. Professionals commonly use the Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to salary, qualification and eligibility requirements set by Singapore authorities. Relocating employees should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and tax registration after arrival. Singapore's tropical climate is hot and humid throughout the year, with frequent rain. Changi Airport provides convenient regional and global connections, making the country an attractive base for international careers.
