The Senior Associate will support EY Ireland’s internal communications activities, helping employees understand business priorities, organisational updates, culture and change initiatives. Responsibilities typically include developing communication plans, writing and editing news, emails and leadership messages, managing internal channels, coordinating campaigns and events, and working with senior stakeholders across the firm. Candidates are expected to have relevant communications, journalism, marketing or public relations experience, excellent writing and editing skills, strong organisation, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Experience with digital communication platforms, employee engagement, content creation and corporate or professional-services environments is advantageous. The role requires confidence working with senior leaders, attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
EY, formerly Ernst & Young, is a global professional-services organisation providing assurance, consulting, strategy and transactions, tax, and related advisory services. It operates through member firms in more than 150 countries and serves businesses, governments and entrepreneurs across industries. EY Ireland has offices including Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford, supporting clients with audit, tax, technology, business consulting, financial services and transformation projects. The firm places strong emphasis on professional development, inclusion, innovation, ethical conduct and helping organisations respond to changing economic, technological and regulatory conditions. Its internal communications teams play an important role in keeping employees informed, connected and engaged across a large, distributed organisation.
Ireland offers strong opportunities in technology, consulting, financial services, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, renewable energy and professional services. Dublin is the main employment hub, while Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford also have growing business and technology sectors. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, approachable and relationship-focused, with good opportunities for networking and professional development. Lifestyle benefits include attractive countryside, coastline, lively cultural scenes and relatively easy domestic travel, although housing—especially in Dublin—is expensive and competitive. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without an employment permit. Non-EEA nationals generally need an appropriate work permit, often an employment permit sponsored by an employer, and must meet salary and occupation requirements. Applicants should confirm current immigration rules, accommodation costs, healthcare arrangements and tax obligations before relocating.
