The Cargo Planning Analyst supports Singapore Airlines’ air-freight planning activities by analysing cargo capacity, flight schedules, demand, bookings and operational constraints. Typical requirements include a degree in business, logistics, aviation, economics, mathematics or a related discipline, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidates should be comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases and reporting tools, and communicating findings to different stakeholders. Experience in airline cargo, logistics, supply-chain planning or data analysis is advantageous. The role expects attention to detail, commercial awareness, sound judgement and the ability to manage changing priorities in a time-sensitive environment. Shift work or occasional work outside standard hours may be required to support airline operations.
Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier of Singapore and one of the world’s best-known international airlines. Established in 1947, it operates an extensive passenger and cargo network from its main hub at Singapore Changi Airport, serving destinations across Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Pacific. The airline is recognised for its service standards, modern fleet, operational reliability and strong premium travel offering. Its cargo business transports freight ranging from pharmaceuticals and electronics to perishables and high-value goods, working with logistics partners and businesses worldwide. Singapore Airlines employs people across flight operations, engineering, airport services, commercial planning, technology, finance and corporate functions. The company generally looks for professionals who combine technical capability with customer focus, teamwork, integrity and an international outlook.
Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, technology, finance, healthcare, engineering, hospitality and international trade. Its central location makes it a major regional hub, particularly for airline cargo and supply-chain careers. The culture is multicultural, orderly and fast-paced, with English widely used alongside Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. Lifestyle options include excellent public transport, diverse food, safe neighbourhoods, shopping, parks and easy access to Southeast Asia. Housing can be expensive, especially in central areas, so many newcomers live near MRT lines in suburban districts. Foreign professionals generally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass or S Pass; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications and government assessment. Employers typically handle the application process. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and local identification after approval. Singapore’s humid climate and competitive work environment are important practical considerations for relocation.
