About the employer

Singapore Airlines is the flag carrier of Singapore and one of the world's best-known full-service airlines. Headquartered at Changi Airport, the group operates an extensive international passenger and cargo network through Singapore, supported by subsidiaries and strategic partners. It is recognised for service quality, operational standards, product innovation, and investment in employee development. Singapore Airlines Academy provides learning and development programmes for aviation professionals, businesses, and organisations, drawing on the airline's expertise in service, leadership, safety, operations, and customer experience. The company employs people across flight operations, engineering, airport services, commercial functions, technology, corporate services, and training. Working there generally involves a professional, multicultural environment with high performance expectations, strong attention to detail, and opportunities to work with regional and international stakeholders.

Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city-state with opportunities in aviation, logistics, finance, technology, healthcare, education, hospitality, and professional services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, with English widely used at work and in daily life. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, and convenient, supported by excellent public transport, modern healthcare, diverse food, shopping, parks, and easy regional travel. Housing can be expensive, particularly in central areas, so many newcomers rent rooms or live near MRT lines. Foreign professionals generally need an employment pass or another Ministry of Manpower work authorisation arranged by the employer; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, and experience. Relocating employees should budget for rent, deposits, insurance, transport, and daily expenses, and check current visa and tax requirements before accepting an offer.
