The Assistant Programme Manager, Training supports the planning, coordination and delivery of employee or partner training programmes in Indonesia. Typical requirements include a bachelor’s degree, experience in programme coordination, learning and development, operations or project administration, strong communication skills, and confidence working with spreadsheets, reporting tools and multiple stakeholders. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and working English is likely expected. The successful candidate should be organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing schedules, vendors, training materials, attendance records and programme performance reports. Grab will expect someone who can solve issues quickly, improve training processes, meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-moving, technology-led environment.
Grab is a Southeast Asian technology company headquartered in Singapore. Founded in 2012, it began as a ride-hailing platform and has expanded into a regional superapp offering mobility, food delivery, parcel delivery, digital payments and financial services. In Indonesia, Grab operates across many cities and works with drivers, merchants, couriers, consumers and business partners. Its large operating network creates demand for training, quality management, customer experience and programme implementation roles. Grab promotes a practical, entrepreneurial working culture, with strong emphasis on technology, collaboration and social impact. Employees typically work with cross-functional teams and may support projects that affect thousands of partners or customers. Compensation and benefits vary by location, seniority and business unit, while recruitment processes commonly include interviews, assessments and discussions about relevant operational or programme experience.
Indonesia offers opportunities in technology, logistics, e-commerce, tourism, education, manufacturing and financial services. Java, especially Jakarta, is the main professional centre and offers the widest range of corporate jobs; Bali is popular for tourism, hospitality and international remote workers; Batam, Sumatra, Sulawesi and Kalimantan provide opportunities in industry, energy, agriculture and natural resources. Indonesian culture values hospitality, community, respect for elders and indirect, relationship-based communication. Lifestyle ranges from busy urban living to relaxed coastal or island communities, with affordable food and transport but traffic and housing costs in Jakarta. Foreign employees generally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate work visa or stay permit; tourist visas do not permit employment. Candidates should confirm current immigration rules, health insurance, tax obligations and relocation support before moving. Learning Bahasa Indonesia is highly useful for daily life and workplace integration.
