About the employer

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a globally recognized luxury hospitality company operating hotels, resorts, residences, and private retreat experiences in many major destinations. The company is known for highly personalized service, elegant properties, and a strong emphasis on employee development and guest satisfaction. Four Seasons Osaka brings the brand to Japan’s Kansai region, combining international luxury standards with Japanese hospitality, attention to detail, and local cultural character. Employees typically work in collaborative, multicultural teams and are expected to demonstrate discretion, warmth, professionalism, and consistent service excellence. Benefits and employment conditions vary by property and contract, but may include staff meals, training, uniform support, hotel discounts, insurance, and other local employment benefits.

Working in Japan

Japan offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, wellness, and travel services, especially in Osaka, Tokyo, Kyoto, Okinawa, and Hokkaido. The culture values punctuality, courtesy, teamwork, cleanliness, and respect for procedures. Daily life is generally safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, varied food, and vibrant city or rural experiences, although housing and commuting costs can be significant. Japanese language ability is a major advantage, particularly for guest-facing roles, while English is valued in international hotels. Foreign employees normally need an appropriate work visa before starting employment; the employer may support sponsorship, but requirements depend on nationality, education, experience, and the specific visa category. Relocation usually involves arranging housing, residence registration, health insurance, a bank account, and a mobile service. Osaka is well connected, comparatively more affordable than Tokyo, and offers rich food, cultural, and entertainment options.
