The Client Success Manager supports Gartner clients by building trusted relationships, understanding their business priorities, and helping them achieve measurable value from Gartner’s research and advisory services. Requirements typically include relevant experience in client success, account management, consulting, sales, or professional services; strong communication and presentation skills; commercial awareness; and the ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders. Candidates are expected to be proactive, organised, consultative, and comfortable discussing business and technology challenges with executives. The role may involve client onboarding, engagement planning, usage reviews, renewals, issue resolution, and identifying opportunities to strengthen long-term partnerships. Experience working with enterprise customers and a demonstrated record of achieving retention or satisfaction goals would be advantageous.
Gartner is a global research and advisory company that provides business leaders with independent insights, technology research, consulting, data, and conferences. Its clients include senior executives and organisations across technology, finance, human resources, marketing, supply chain, and other functions. Gartner is best known for helping leaders evaluate technology markets, develop strategy, manage risk, and make informed business decisions. The company operates internationally and combines subscription-based research with advisory services, consulting, events, and peer networking. Client-facing employees are expected to understand customer priorities, demonstrate the value of Gartner’s resources, and build lasting relationships with senior stakeholders. In Australia, Gartner works with organisations across both the public and private sectors and offers an international, performance-focused environment with opportunities to collaborate across regions.
Australia offers opportunities in technology, consulting, cybersecurity, finance, healthcare, engineering, education, construction, and professional services, with Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Canberra serving as major employment centres. Workplace culture is generally collaborative, direct, relatively informal, and focused on practical results and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to coastal, regional, and outdoor-oriented communities, with generally high living standards but significant housing costs in major cities. Skilled professionals usually need employer sponsorship, a skilled migration visa, or another valid work right; eligibility depends on occupation, qualifications, experience, English ability, and government requirements. Relocating typically involves arranging health insurance, tax registration, banking, accommodation, and possibly a driver’s licence. Australia is geographically large, so travel between cities can be expensive, although public transport is effective in metropolitan areas.
