Requirements typically include proven enterprise B2B sales experience, a strong record of meeting targets, consultative selling capability, and confidence engaging senior executives such as general counsel, risk leaders and compliance officers. The successful candidate should be commercially minded, resilient, well organised and able to manage complex, long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. Experience selling subscriptions, professional services, technology or advisory solutions is advantageous.
Gartner is a global research and advisory company that helps business and technology leaders make informed decisions. It provides research, consulting, executive guidance, benchmarking, conferences and peer-learning services to organisations across industries. Gartner’s analysts cover areas including technology, cybersecurity, finance, legal, risk, compliance, human resources and supply chain management. Its Legal, Risk and Compliance practice supports senior professionals with independent research, practical insights, advisory services and access to an executive community. The company operates internationally and is known for its subscription-based business model, consultative sales approach and strong focus on measurable client outcomes. Employees typically work with senior decision-makers at large organisations, helping them address strategic challenges and improve performance. The role is suited to an experienced enterprise seller who enjoys relationship building, commercial responsibility and working in a research-led advisory environment.
Australia offers strong opportunities in enterprise sales, technology, consulting, financial services, healthcare and professional advisory work, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Workplace culture is generally direct, collaborative and informal, with emphasis on results, customer relationships and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from major-city dining and cultural events to beaches, national parks and outdoor sports. Housing and childcare can be expensive in the largest cities, while regional areas may offer lower costs but fewer specialised roles. Skilled professionals usually need employer sponsorship, an eligible skilled visa or another work right; requirements depend on occupation, qualifications, experience and English ability. Relocating often involves arranging health insurance, tax registration, banking, accommodation and recognition of qualifications. Candidates should confirm sponsorship availability, visa conditions and salary details directly with Gartner before accepting an offer.
