The Associate, Subsidiary Account Manager supports Citi’s China Desk and manages banking relationships for multinational companies and their subsidiaries in Hong Kong. Responsibilities typically include coordinating account opening and maintenance, understanding client needs, supporting credit and product requirements, monitoring service delivery, and working with relationship managers, operations, compliance, and product teams. Candidates should have experience in corporate or commercial banking, client servicing, account management, or financial services operations. Strong communication, organization, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills are expected. Fluency in English and Chinese, particularly Mandarin, is highly valuable. The role also requires sound knowledge of banking products, customer due diligence, regulatory procedures, risk awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Citi is a global financial institution serving corporations, governments, investors, and individuals in more than 180 countries and jurisdictions. Its businesses include corporate and commercial banking, investment banking, markets, transaction services, wealth management, and consumer banking. In Hong Kong, Citi operates as a major international bank and regional financial-services hub, supporting multinational companies, local businesses, and institutional clients across Asia-Pacific. The bank is known for its extensive cross-border network, treasury and trade capabilities, global relationship management, and technology-driven financial solutions. Citi employees generally work in a highly regulated, collaborative, and international environment, with opportunities to interact across markets and business lines. The organization places emphasis on client service, risk management, compliance, operational discipline, and responsible growth.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in banking, finance, technology, trade, logistics, professional services, hospitality, and education. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences, and workplaces commonly use English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, dense urban neighborhoods, diverse dining, shopping, hiking trails, beaches, and nearby islands. Housing is expensive, especially on Hong Kong Island and in central areas, while Kowloon and the New Territories may offer better value. Foreign professionals normally need an employment visa sponsored by their employer; applications generally require a confirmed job, relevant qualifications or experience, and proof that the role cannot readily be filled locally. Dependants may usually apply for dependant visas, with eligible spouses permitted to work. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, a Hong Kong identity card, banking, healthcare coverage, and tax registration. Cantonese knowledge is useful socially, while English is widely used professionally.
