About the employer

Its operations connect corporations, governments, investors, and financial institutions across major markets worldwide. In Taiwan, Citi supports multinational companies, local businesses, institutional investors, and financial-market participants through services such as transaction banking, foreign exchange, custody, securities services, and investment banking. Working in Taiwan

Taiwan offers strong opportunities in banking, securities, technology, manufacturing, international trade, healthcare, and professional services. Taipei is the main employment center and has the largest concentration of multinational firms, financial institutions, and English-speaking workplaces; Taichung and Kaohsiung generally offer lower living costs and growing industrial opportunities. Taiwanese culture values respect, reliability, education, and teamwork, while daily life combines efficient public transport, night markets, convenience stores, mountains, beaches, and excellent food. Rent and commuting costs vary considerably by city, with Taipei being the most expensive. Foreign professionals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and a resident visa or work-based residency, while eligibility depends on qualifications, salary, and role. Applicants should confirm current requirements with Taiwan’s National Immigration Agency and Ministry of Labor. Learning basic Mandarin is helpful, though many multinational offices use English. Relocation planning should include housing, health insurance, tax obligations, banking, and local registration.
