Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal destinations such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and island developments including Palm Jumeirah and Yas Island. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, technology, finance, and events provide strong employment opportunities. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress and respect for local customs are appreciated, particularly during Ramadan. Lifestyle options range from beaches, desert activities, and shopping to museums, restaurants, and nightlife. Summers are extremely hot, while winter is more comfortable for outdoor activities. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work authorization, and interns should confirm whether the placement provides a visa, accommodation, transport, insurance, or allowance. Dubai has extensive public transport, though living costs can be high. Accommodation, flights, and health coverage should be checked carefully before relocating.
