Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah, rather than a single island. It offers extensive opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events, and business services. Dubai is highly international, fast-paced, and culturally diverse, with modern public transport, shopping, beaches, desert activities, and a wide range of dining and entertainment. Local culture values hospitality, respect, modest public behaviour, and awareness of Islamic traditions. Most expatriates live in apartments or shared accommodation, and employers may provide housing or an allowance. Employees generally need employer sponsorship and a UAE work permit, with medical checks and Emirates ID registration. Applicants should secure a written offer and confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, leave, and visa responsibility before relocating. Living costs, especially rent, can be high in Dubai.
