The Kitchen Steward supports the culinary team by washing and sanitizing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintaining clean storage and preparation areas; removing waste; and following food-safety, hygiene, and workplace-safety procedures. Candidates are generally expected to have a positive attitude, physical stamina, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment. Previous stewarding, kitchen, or hospitality experience is helpful but may not always be essential. The successful candidate should be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, cooperate with colleagues, follow instructions carefully, and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Basic communication skills and a professional appearance are also expected.
