Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers strong hospitality opportunities, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering companies and attractions regularly recruit chefs, service staff, housekeepers and supervisors. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while Islamic customs, modest public behavior and respect for local traditions are important. Dubai offers modern facilities, beaches, shopping, international food and active nightlife, although rent and daily expenses can be high. Many hotel jobs provide shared accommodation, meals, transport and medical insurance, which can make relocation easier. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and residence visa; do not work on a tourist visa. Employers commonly arrange medical checks and immigration processing after an offer is accepted. Candidates should verify salary, benefits, working hours, accommodation and contract terms before traveling.
