The Storeperson supports daily lounge operations by receiving deliveries, checking goods, storing supplies safely, rotating stock and issuing items to kitchen, food and beverage teams. The role typically requires previous experience in warehousing, stores or hospitality, good organisation, basic computer skills and the ability to follow food-safety, workplace-health and safety procedures. A forklift licence may be advantageous, while airport security clearance and the right to work in Australia are generally required. The successful candidate is expected to work accurately, maintain clean and secure storage areas, manage stock levels, meet delivery schedules and work cooperatively in a fast-paced airport environment. Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is also important.
Qantas Lounges by Accor is a hospitality partnership combining Qantas’s premium airport-lounge experience with Accor’s expertise in hotel and guest services. The Brisbane Airport operation provides travellers with comfortable spaces, food and beverage service, customer assistance and business facilities before departure. Behind the scenes, operational teams manage catering, cleaning, engineering, guest relations, stock control and service delivery to maintain high standards in a busy aviation environment. Accor is one of the world’s major hospitality groups, operating hotels, resorts, restaurants and lifestyle brands across many countries. Employees in Qantas Lounges by Accor work in a professional, multicultural setting where safety, reliability, teamwork and polished service are important. Because the workplace is located in an airport, candidates should be prepared for security requirements, shift work and the need to consistently meet strict operational and presentation standards.
Australia offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, warehousing, healthcare, construction, technology and skilled trades. Major cities such as Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth have diverse employers, while regional areas often need hospitality and seasonal workers. Australian workplace culture is generally informal, practical and respectful, with emphasis on punctuality, safety and personal responsibility. Brisbane provides a warm climate, outdoor activities, beaches within reach and a relaxed lifestyle, although housing and transport costs should be planned carefully. Common visa pathways include the Working Holiday visa for eligible young travellers, employer-sponsored visas, skilled visas and student visas with work conditions. Applicants need valid work rights, suitable qualifications or experience and, for airport roles, security clearance. Relocating usually requires arranging accommodation, tax-file and bank details, health insurance where appropriate, and an Australian phone number. Check current visa rules through the Australian Department of Home Affairs before making plans.
