Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the widest range of international hospitality, finance, tourism, and business opportunities. The country combines modern cities, desert landscapes, beaches, shopping, and a highly international lifestyle. Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used at work. Islamic traditions influence public life, although expatriate communities enjoy diverse restaurants, entertainment, and cultural activities. Dubai generally has warm weather, excellent transport, strong infrastructure, and a high cost of housing and schooling. Employers normally sponsor work visas, residence permits, medical checks, and Emirates ID applications; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Candidates should confirm benefits such as accommodation, insurance, flights, relocation support, and gratuity. Relocation is usually straightforward once an employment offer and visa sponsorship are secured.
